Registration

  • Take a play break with Rabbi Elisa Koppel. This is a hybrid offering for both in-person and online convention participants.
  • This is a follow-up session for those who want to write in response to prompts suggested by the model poems we discussed in Part One.
  • Rabbi Rachel Sabath Beit-Halachmi, Ph.D. will discuss and explore, “How can our study and chevruta inspire and inform the way in which we develop our prophetic voices? What texts open themselves to us for deeper interpretation.”
  • I do not wish to participate in a Chug during the 2nd session.

Online Session 2-Tuesday Chugim Selections


Online participants for the 2023 WRN Convention are asked to select a Chug elective during the Tuesday online program. Below is information about those offered during the second Chugim session. Each Chug will have its own Zoom meeting information which will be sent to you before the Convention begins. Bios of all Chug leaders will be posted on the Sched App.

2nd Session Online Chug Electives and their Descriptions:


F. FUN AND GAMES (40-Minute Chug)

Take a play break with Rabbi Elisa Koppel. A bunch of games will be provided, and you may feel free to bring your own or suggest some! If you select this Chug for 90-minutes, make sure to sign up for both sessions.


G. POETRY AS SPIRITUAL PRACTICE Part Two (40-Minute Chug)

You must have selected "Poetry Part One" in the earlier session in order to register for this chug.


This is a follow-up session is for those who want to write in response to prompts suggested by the model poems we discussed in Part One. There will be three 8-10 minute writing exercises, concluding with a 10-minute break-out group in which you can share your one or two of your drafts with a chevruta partner. (Be sure to have pen and paper ready, unless you use your computer.)


H. FINDING OUR PROPHETIC VOICES (40-MInute Chug)

If you registered for Meditation in the first session, you do not have to register for a chug second session. Meditation is a 90-minute Chug.
